Governors’ Report to Parents

Dear parents, on behalf of the Governing Body, welcome to the 2010/11 Ysgol Rhys Prichard  Annual Report.

The governors come from various backgrounds and perspectives.  Some of them are Ysgol Rhys Prichard parents while others are links with the Local Authority and the local community.  They work very closely with Noel Jones and the whole staff to see that Ysgol Rhys Prichard offers the best education possible for your children.  The governors set and oversee the various policies that guide the school toward fulfilling its aims and objectives.  Many of the governors are involved in the life of the school on a regular basis.  This involves attending meetings and so much more. A list of the current governors can be found inside.

As you read through the report you will see that a lot of work has gone into the last academic year, and we are very proud of the achievements of the children. We are very grateful to all the staff, both teaching and non-teaching, for their hard work and dedication to ensure that the children experience an excellent learning environment which is also fun and enjoyable. The governors hope that you find the report interesting and informative.  If you any questions after reading the report, please do not hesitate to get in touch.  There will be a parents meeting held at the school at 4.00pm on Thursday 31st May, and I hope that as many parents as possible will be able to attend in order to learn more about the way in which the school and your children are performing.
